Can You Really Make Money Online?
We’ve all seen a site that claims that some single mother, retired person, poor student or poorly-employed person with a ridiculously large family to support suddenly made it rich online. It’s usually in the form of them making a ridiculous amount of money overnight that’s virtually impossible to do without winning the lottery, and then offering to show you the exact system they used so that you can duplicate their success.
If you were duped, don’t feel bad. Even those of us who know better still fall prey to these marketing scams and have lost hundreds, if not thousands of dollars in the process. We purchase a product or a system, use it according to the instructions, and wind up with the short end of the stick. There are literally hundreds of forums and websites that confirm this. This begs the question: Can you really make money online?
Without a doubt you can. However, if you want to learn to make money online through a more honest means, you will undoubtedly need to put a bit of work into it. Robbing and taking advantage of people is easy, but honesty involves patience, sacrifice and hard work.
Making money online is no different than making money in the real world; there is no magic button that you can push to suddenly become richer. Submitting website to Google or other search engines won’t get you there either. You have to build a foundation and work from the ground up. This is no different than planting a garden: you have to work, sometimes toil before you see the fruits of your labor.
Making money online is made to look like a blanket solution to the bad economy and the problems presented by a 9-5 job. Really, though, it’s not. While you are afforded a bit more freedom when working online, you aren’t necessarily going to get paid what you’re worth.
