Choose A Nature Based Nursery Theme
While there are lots of great nursery theme ideas, some of my favorites are based on things found in nature. If you are someone who enjoys nature and being outdoors, why not share your love of the outdoors with your baby and create a nature based nursery theme.You could choose from one of the many great bedding sets based on nature themes or use a solid color bedding and create your own nature theme. The options are endless.
Perhaps you enjoy flower gardening and sitting in the garden watching the butterflies and hummingbirds flitting from flower to flower. There are some amazingly beautiful butterfly and dragonfly baby crib bedding sets. Can’t you just imagine how pretty and colorful your little girl’s nursery would be if you created a garden room with colorful butterflies all around.
Another great nature based theme is frog baby bedding. While frog based themes would work for either gender, I guess I have a picture in my head of a little boy putting frogs in his pocket so I see this as a boy theme. The room could have the look of a pond with blue walls and frogs on lily pads basking in the sun.
A nature based nursery theme is often one that would lend itself to using a wall mural. I saw a nursery recently that had a woodland theme. The bedding set was a small green and brown check. The walls had the most gorgeous mural of a forest full of trees. Squirrels, raccoons and other woodland animals and birds were perched in and among the trees. There was even a friendly snake or two. It was absolutely breathtaking and I am sure as the baby grows he will enjoy the room for years to come.
