House Cleaning As An Acceptable Career Choice

When you meet someone new, one of the first things people will ask each other is what you do for a living.  Having an acceptable profession is an integral part of a person’s identify.  But what happens if your chosen career is less than glamorous?  Take for instance a job being a housekeeper.  Would that be considered acceptable to most people?  It would put the profession in a better light if people only knew what type of profit generating business it is.

Just like any business, you make money because you offer a product or service that will make someone’s life easier.  However, this is not the only component in the formula for success.  There’s also the issue of competition from other businesses.  Are other people competing with you for customers?  The great thing about the cleaning business is that because it is so boring and unglamorous, both clients and businesses don’t want to do it.  That leaves you with a monopoly if you want to take advantage of it.

It is very easy to start a house cleaning business.  You can basically be a one person operation until you grow and either partner up with someone else or hire more workers.  But to start off with, you will need to find house cleaning work.

The great thing about the age of the Internet is that you won’t need a marketing budget because you can do it all free.  You can advertise on Craigslist for your services or surf the net looking for people requiring housekeeping assistance.  Once you start to get a few clients, you’ll be surprised how your base of customers quickly balloons because of the word of mouth nature of the business.

Pretty soon, you’ll not be only a cleaner but own your own house cleaning business.  If people knew the true nature of the business, they would not be so quick to dismiss it.
