They want them for several reasons. They may want to change their appearance – this is a common reason. Others need them for their Halloween costume or on-stage performance. And  you should know that if you want these kinds of lenses, you may have to get used to them – especially if you use the opaque kind. These can sometimes move around in your eyes and partially block your vision. This is why it’s important to try a few, different brands to see which ones work the best for you.
