The PrintStik 900 is the first of its portable models. It currently sells for $181.90 at Amazon. Purchasing it from Planon will cost you $199 and that excludes delivery costs. Its maximum resolution is 200 x 200 dots per inch. This is not the best resolution available for printers but for a printer you can slip in your pocket, this is fairly acceptable. It is using the Direct Thermal printing method that is why it has achieved this size. Its primary interface is USB.
The second model available at Amazon is the PrintStik 905. Similar to its original model, it has the same printing resolution. It also comes in the same dimensions but it is a bit heavier compared to the PS900. It weighs about 3.1. The additional weight is attributed to its additional Bluetooth capability. It still retains its USB connectivity and it supports more operating systems as well as other mobile OS.
The last model available at Amazon is the PrintStik 910. This upgraded model comes in the same size as the original model. Planon has made an effort to make all PrintStik models come in the same size. Like the PS905, it also has the Bluetooth capability. Unlike any of its previous models, it offers an increased resolution of 400 x 200 dpi.
It may take some time before the latest model of the PrintStik series becomes part of Amazon’s catalogue. The PS950 offers better resolution of 600 x 600 dpi while maintaining its size. It also supports the same paper cartridge as the previous 3 models. Currently, it is being distributed by Planon at $350. Aside from its increased resolution, the package comes with the additional Nylon zipper Case and 12V car adapter.
The world’s smallest printer may be sold at Amazon. However, remember that there are not only great things being sold in Amazon. If you notice from Amazon’s logo, there is an arrow A to Z forming a smile. That shows that they plan to sell everything from A to Z while guaranteeing customer satisfaction.
