Why Cheap Liposuction Prices Are Here To Stay
In a culture that offers a seemingly endless amount of consumer options, one thing is true: people love a good bargain. Many joke that shopping is even a sport – although I always thought that was a bit of a misnomer, because even when you win you still lose all that money!
In any event, we love to get things done for cheap – be it a cheap oil change at Wal-Mart, a good deal on car insurance from Geico, or saving money on liposculpture from a special being run at the local liposuction clinic.
Despite all the warnings and red flags that should come up if you find a doctor offering cheap liposuction prices though, these offers are here to stay. Why is this so? I think we can break it down to 3 reasons.
The first reason is that advertising cheap liposuction prices gets customers in the door. This is true even if the advertised price is misleading – just getting people to call or show up for more info in 90% of the battle in making a sale. Liposuction marketers know this and aren’t going to stop this tactic anytime soon.
Secondly, and shockingly, people will continue to be seduced by a cheap price, even if the work is sub par. It’s amazing that people would risk their bodies to a liposuction doctor with cheap prices and even cheaper reputation, but the almighty dollar talks. So does desperation – and people are desperate to “fix” their bodies, even if they don’t have enough money to go with a top notch doctor.
And the third reason is that, in all fairness, the cost of cosmetic surgery has gone down since it’s exploded into the middle class starting in the 1970′s and into the 1980′s. People find the prices for liposuction are within reach, making finding that wallet of their in reach as well. Simply put, liposuction is more affordable now to more people than it ever has been before.
